Why should you get involved in the comprehensive planning decisions? |
| Do you remember why you bought property in Wascott? How about the changes that have occurred in Wascott since you were a child? Or have you ever thought of what kind of businesses or services would be nice to have in our area? Maybe you think more parks, walking/bicycle/snowmobile trails would be appropriate? Have you ever thought of subdivisions being created next door to you? |
| The challenge of developing a comprehensive town plan requires active citizen participation in issues to harmonize economic and individual property owners rights with social and environmental needs. Public participation in decisions about development is fundamental to achieving lasting and possible solutions. Your opinions are not only important, they are necessary. Over the next two to three years the town of Wascott will be working on the comprehensive town plan. We need citizen input in order to complete the plan. |
| Wascott's planning commission shall facilitate and encourage public awareness and participation by making existing information widely available. Also, early notice and out reach on upcoming decisions will be made to the public. |
